Cecilia Gobin: The Role of Tribal Treaty Rights in Protecting the Salish Sea

Please join us to hear Cecilia Gobin, conservation policy analyst with the Northwest Indian Fisheries Commission, talk about habitat restoration. Cecilia works on tribal-led initiatives that focus on protecting the nearshore environment, Southern Resident killer whales, and seals. 

Cecilia Gobin is a Conservation Policy Analyst with the Northwest Indian Fisheries Commission. She brings strong expertise in tribal programs, habitat initiatives, and tribal treaty rights. Her work focuses on the Endangered Species Act, Marine Mammal Act, Puget Sound salmon recovery and recovery planning, and habitat protection issues that focus on the nearshore environment, salmon, Southern Resident Killer Whales, and other treaty resources. She holds bachelor’s degrees from the University of Washington and she is a member of the Tulalip tribes.
