Hummingbird

We’re thrilled to welcome the North Cascades Audubon Society’s Chris Brewer to present All About Hummingbirds to the Lummi Island community at the Otto Resource Center, 7p.m. Saturday, February 25th. Find out what makes these tiny, fascinating birds tick. How do they perform their acrobatics? Which flowers are most enticing? What hummers make the arduous 2,700-mile solo migration and which stay with us all winter? We’ll explore interesting hummers from around the world, but we’ll focus especially on our Washington hummingbirds. Find out how to support them during winter and how to create a hummer-happy backyard environment year-round. Masks are required at the Resource Center. Please email outreach@liht.org to register or if you have any questions.
