We are deeply grateful to each and every one of our donors and we will steward your gift as carefully as we steward our lands. Your money, time, expertise, or even your old car, will be Preserving the Nature of Lummi Island for generations to come.

Volunteer Your Time
Whether you are interested in fieldwork and stewardship opportunities at our nature preserves, participating in our outreach events or helping at the resource center, your time, talent and energy are welcome and are essential to the continuation of our conservation work.
Donating your land for conservation is one of the finest legacies you can leave to future generations of islanders. If you choose to donate your land, the Heritage Trust will work with you to identify the best arrangement for you and your family.
Donate a Vehicle
We are partnering with another non-profit called Donate for Charity to sell your vehicle. You receive a tax-deductible contribution and Lummi Island Heritage Trust receives a donation from the proceeds of the sale. We accept all sorts of vehicles - cars, trucks, vans, motorcycles, boats, trailers, and campers. Old, new, dented or rusty, it doesn’t even have to be running - as long as you can tow it to Gooseberry Point. Missing the title? No problem, Donate for Charity will help you get a new one.
A gift of appreciated stock or mutual funds may allow you to make a larger contribution than a cash donation. It also helps you save on taxes. If you have any questions or need help with your stock transfer, please email Executive Director Rebecca Rettmer or call her at 360-758-7997.
A planned gift is a term that covers a wide variety of charitable gifts such as wills and bequests, charitable trusts, or beneficiary designations on insurance and retirement plans. This allows you to make a significant gift during your lifetime that will impact land conservation on Lummi Island for generations to come. You may find this Bequest Information Form helpful as you begin to think through your plans.
Amazon Smile Program
Through the Smile program, Amazon will donate to the Heritage Trust every time you make a purchase from their website, once you sign up and select Heritage Trust as your preferred non profit. Nothing changes about your Amazon shopping experience. You will get the same selection, prices and benefits.
