Dr. Kaeli Swift: Corvid Mythologies

Dr. Swift has dedicated herself to understanding American crows, ravens, and jays. Her graduate research has included both field-based projects observing wild crows, and non-invasive/non-lethal functional imaging studies aimed at understanding what was going on in the crow brain. She is currently a visiting lecturer at the University of Washington and teaches a variety of ornithology and wildlife ecology courses. Her presentation will explore the symbolism and impact of corvids from ancient times until now.
