DOUBLE YOUR END OF YEAR DONATION TODAY!

Twenty seven years ago, LIHT founders envisioned an organization on Lummi Island that would preserve and cherish open spaces, native habitat and natural resources. Fast forward, The Otto, Curry and Baker Preserves were established, along with the The Otto Resource Center—this year marking its 25-year anniversary of dedication. Aiston, LIHT’S newest Preserve, was a herculean effort requiring vision, passion and dedication by community members, returning a once man-destroyed landscape to a living and breathing ecosystem of wonder and beauty. Congratulations are in order to every one of you who took part in its transformation and ongoing restoration.

Over the span of LIHT’s lifetime, 750 acres of preserved lands and 350 acres of private land under conservation easement have been preserved and stewarded on Lummi Island. As we look to the next 25 years, we’d like to ask—Will you help us face the pressures of shrinking Federal and State grant opportunities? Help us weather rising operating costs and program expenses? Help us react quickly when further conservation opportunities arise? Help us maintain and steward our preserves for generations to come? We cherish this beautiful island which has given us all so much. Now is a perfect time to give back. With a monetary contribution today, the next 25 years is ours in the making.

WE ARE THRILLED TO ANNOUNCE THAT AN ANONYMOUS DONOR HAS OFFERED TO MATCH EVERY DONATION, UP TO A TOTAL OF $5,000!
