Recurring Donation
When you make monthly donations to the Heritage Trust, you help to provide a reliable flow of income that helps us to conceive, plan, and execute more effective ways to do our work.
Workplace Match
Make your gift go twice as far! If your employer offers a gift matching program you can double your efforts to support our vital work. Some companies match gifts made by retirees and spouses. If you have any questions about employer gift matching, please contact susan@liht.org.
Donate Stock
Donating stock, securities, and mutual fund shares is an effective way to help the Heritage Trust. When you can donate appreciated stocks, bonds, or mutual funds, their total value at the time of transfer is tax-deductible and there are no capital gains to pay. Donate Through Your IRA
For those who are 70 ½ years and older, you can donate up to $100,000/year from your IRA to a qualified charity, such as the Heritage Trust, without having to pay income taxes on that money. For those who are 73 or older, you can donate all or part of your required minimum distributions. For more information, please contact susan@liht.org.
Donate a Vehicle
Turn your car, truck, recreational vehicle, or boat into a tax-deductible donation to the Heritage Trust. You receive a tax-deductible contribution and Lummi Island Heritage Trust receives a donation from the proceeds of the sale.
Make a Bequest
A bequest is a gift you make through your estate. You may make a bequest for a specific amount, for specified assets, for a percentage of your estate. For information about bequests, please contact susan@liht.org.
