Curry Preserve Expansion Campaign A Success
We are deeply grateful to the hundreds of donors who responded very quickly and helped raise the funds that will make the Curry Preserve Expansion a reality. Thank you! In 2002, over 400 individuals, families, organizations and businesses helped the Heritage Trust purchase and create the Curry Preserve. The 42 acre Curry Preserve contains open fields, fir forest, and rich wetlands. The property is managed as wildlife habitat and a place for people to experience nature. In March of 2008, the Heritage Trust purchased a property that will expand the Curry Preserve. The approximately 8.5 acre property is bordered by the Curry Preserve to the north, private conservation easement properties to the east and west, and Centerview Road to the south. The Curry Preserve Expansion project will enlarge the Curry Preserve to over 50 acres, while conserving precious wetlands and groundwater resources, an open field, and mature forestland. It will allow trail access by foot from Centerview Road and will protect the integrity of the Curry Preserve. Make a tax-deductible donation to the
